My-Shield® Hospital Disinfectant is a unique, fast-acting surface treatment solution that kills bacteria and viruses on contact and continues to kill for up to 28 days — after just one application. Provides protection against: MRSA (Golden Staph): A strain of the Staphylococcus aureus. MRSA, a common bacterium normally lives on the skin and in nasal passages of healthy people. The C. difficile bacterial infection is caused by the bacterium clostridium difficile (c. diff, c. difficile), which causes a range of symptoms, from diarrhea to life-threatening colon inflammation. It is particularly dangerous because it has developed a resistance to some antibiotics. It is especially troublesome in hospitals, where patients with open wounds, invasive devices and weakened immune systems are at greater risk of infection than the general public.
My-Shield® Hospital Disinfectant has been clinically tested and proven to kill MRSA (Golden staph) & C-diff spores at Log 6 or better (99.9999%). It also kills Norovirus: A highly contagious virus that is largely resistant to detergents and alcohol. These pathogens can ordinarily stay on wood and other porous surfaces for extended periods.

QUICK AND EASY APPLICATION
Application method: My-Shield® Hospital Disinfectant comes in a ready mixed solution with no dilution required. It can be applied to small surface areas by spraying directly onto the surface and allowing the solution to dry. It can also be sprayed onto a sponge or cloth and wiped onto a surface or item. Large surface areas (e.g. Building interiors) can be treated with the use of a hydro-static sprayer. This sprayer easily disperses the disinfectant to all surfaces within a room including walls, ceilings, flooring, furniture etc. Drying time with this application is very quick, resulting in a procedure that is complete within minutes.

Sanitation protocols in hospitals and medical centers, while necessary to ensure our safety, are prone to human error. When ordinary short-lasting sanitizers are utilized, one forgotten or poor cleaning by a staff member can present a serious threat to patients. The use of My-Shield® Hospital Disinfectant greatly reduces the chance of human error causing a threat, as one application continuously kills harmful bacteria, germs, viruses and other pathogens for up to 28 days. The proprietary nano-protective antimicrobial with Zetrisil®, provides a protective barrier by bonding to surfaces and providing a protective shield. Zetrisil® works by attracting pathogens, penetrating their cell walls, and shocking them through an electrical charge. While it is important to enforce and follow protocols, it is also important to factor in the probability of human error, and take necessary steps to protect against it.
